Summary
Watercolour on card, South Nethers Cave near Tintagel on the North Coast by William Fleetwood Varley (Hackney 1785 - Ramsgate 1858). Inscribed on the reverse; 'J. Harpur May 12th 1810/Given me by my brother/Robert Greville/Sth Nethers Cave near Tintagle on the North Coast'. Signed lower right on the edge of the mount;'William Varley'. The waterfall comes from a craggy rock face and falls through astone archway into a pool. The edge of the mount is covered with black tape. Carved gilt frame with a vertical fluting within curve of the moulding, overlapping leaves around the rim.
