Watercolour, on paper, The Rev. Henry Robert Crewe (1801 – 1865) by Octavius Oakley (Bermondsey 1800 – London 1867). Portrait of a clergyman shown three-quarter length, seated in a chair. He holds a book open and behind him are other volumes. With a gilt mount and frame painted white and gold inscribed on the back; 'The late Revd. H.R. Crew/2nd son of the late Sir Henry Harpur Crew, 7th Bart. of Calke Abbey, Derbyshire whom Chaplain to his nephew the late Sir John Harpur Crew Bt. whom High Sheriff for Derbyshire in 18?'.
