Summary
Document with painted decoration inscribed in ink. Blue and pink foliage runs up the left side interwoven with a gilt banner inscribed 'Opprobrium Genus Degenerati'. A coat of arms is painted on the top within red and black foliage. Inscribed to Lady Harpur Crewe on the occasion of Mr. Crewe's coming of age. Signed by tenants 'and others assembled in the Boys' Schoolroom at Ticknall'. In a gilt gesso frame with a painted initial at the top 'GC (?)'. It is decorated with oak branches, some around the edges of the frame, others moulded on the frame.
