Summary

One of a set of seven engravings by Thomas Holloway c) Engraving en suite by Thomas Holloway, R. Slann and T.S. Webb after Raphael. Published at Hampton Court in 1839 and dedicated to the Queen. Entitled 'Peter and John healing the lame man at the beautiful gate of the Temple' The apostles are shown amongst maimed people between the carved and fluted twisted pillars of the temple. One of the Raphael Cartoons, from the Royal Collection, now housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
