Summary

Chromolithograph, Death of Saint Francis by Domenico Ghirlandaio in the Sassetti Chapel, Basilica of Santa Trinita, Florence (after Cesari Mariannecci) by Ludwig Grüner (Dresden 1801 - Dresden 1882). Storch and Kramer under the direction of L. Gruner for the Arundel Society, 1860. 'Death of S. Francis by Dom. Ghirlandaio' from S. Trinita, Florence. Drawn by Signor Mariannecci. The whole scene is set within an architectural framework with gold and white pilasters either side. The frieze is painted red and gold with egg and dart pattern along top and base. Landscape opens beyond the setting ot the group around S. Francis.
