Summary
Chromolithograph, St. Catherine borne by Angels to the Tomb by Bernardino Luini, Brera Milan by Storch and Kramer under L. Gruner for the Arundel Society, 1858. 'S. Catherine borne by angels to the tomb' by B. Luini, in the Brera Gallery, Milan. St. Catherine, wrapped in a red drape, is held prostrate by three angels above a carved tomb. Print has an arched top but no architectural framework. Mounted on card. fresco is from the Villa Labia alla Pelluca, near Milan. The entire fresco cycle was detached in 1821-22. Since 1906 almost the complete cycle has been at the Brera
