Summary
Lithograph, Drakelow Hall, Derbyshire by Moses Webster (Derby 1792 - Derby 1870). Set of lithographs published by M. Webster of Derby. Drakelow Hall by M. Webster, printed by E. Wild. Drakelow Hall, the seat of Sir R. Greseley Bart. M.P., is shown as a square building with Tudor style windows and chimneys. See CAL/D/889d for photograph. Drakelow Hall was owned for 850 years by a local family; The Greseley's of Drakelow. In 1200, a William de Gresley held the manor of Drakelow. Drakelow Hall was demolished in 1934 and a power station was built on the site. The 'Painted Room', once a highlight of the Hall, is preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
