Summary
Etching, Interior of Framlington Castle, Suffolk by Henry Davy (1793-1865). One of a series of etchings by Henry Davy 'for his Suffolk Antiquities'. Each has a title inscribed. 'Interior of Framlington Castle, Suffolk'. Dated 1819. A group of people congregate in the centre of the castle near shrubs. The outer shell of the castle is punctuated by arched windows and doors with chimneys above. (g) 'Remains of Mendham Priory Suffolk'. Dated 1826. Dedicated to the Rev. Thos. Barne, Manor House, Crayford, Kent. A wall with blank arcading around the base remains and beyond are faceted pillars.
