Summary
Etching, On The Thames (after David Cox the elder) by Arthur Willmore (Birmingham 1814 - 1888). Entitled 'On the Thames', published by the Art Union 1870. Buildings are silhouetted on the far bank and in the foreground is a wooden boat with four fishermen laying out a net. Behind them the river is busy with small boats and seagulls flying around.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
