Summary
An illuminated address to Sir John Harpur Crewe Baronet from the inhabitants of Ticknall, Calke and Repton Priory congratulations on his son and heir attaining his majority. Hand painted by William Burn (stated as 'Barn' on the inventory card). It is signed with sixty different names. In a gilt wood and gesso frame the outside corners moulded with an acorn and oak motif, forming a crest at the top with the Harpur Crewe coat of arms.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
