Summary
Pencil and watercolour n paper, Sir George Crewe, 8th Bt. (1795 – 1844) by Octavius Oakley (Bermondsey 1800 – London 1867). Sir George is seated in a a drawing room chair and wears a blue coat and cream trousers. Behind him is a table with books. An inscription on the back reads; 'Sir George Harpur Crewe, 8th Bart.' In a giltwood and gesso frame. Moulded with small floral sprays, scroll and shell design in the corners.
