Inscription reads; 'The winner of the Derby stakes at Epsom, 1830, 89 subscribers, 23 started, was got by Emilius out of Cressider by Whiskey out of Giantess (Sorcerer's dam) by Diomed out of Giantess by Matcham. Property of Mr William Chifney'. Dedicated by J.F. Herring and S. [and] J. Fuller, London, Published 20th September 1830. (Cost 15/-). Wide margin.
