Summary
Print, engraving, Campaign in Portugal - View taken on the Tagus near Villa Franca which shows a part of the British Lines by Henri L'Eveque (1769-1832). A set of five engravings, early 19th century called 'Campaign in Portugal', drawn and engraved by H. L'Eveque and published in May 1815 for the proprietors by Messers, Calnaghi and Co. (d) Engraving called 'View taken on the Tagus near Villa Franca which shows a part of the British Lines'. In the distance are a coastline. In the foreground is a large sailing ship and to the right a group of people survey the scene. (Plate no. 14).
