Summary
One of a large collection of sixty-one tapestry patterns for Berlin woolwork. Dating from the 19th century with many different colours and designs, fruit, flowers, birds, figures and acanthus border motifs. All are shown to scale in a graph form, often with a colour code underneath. They are published by W. Wittich and A. Todt of Berlin and Wilks of England. Some have a linen backing. Various sizes.
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
