Summary
A vegetable tureen, part of a dinner service of 49 pieces made to match CAL/C/450, a Bloor Derby dinner service. Painted with Harpur Crewe crests and Baronets red hand. Gilt lion head and scroll decoration. Comprising, (a) four circular, two handled sauce tureens and covers. One tureen with a stand (one tureen broken, stand cracked); (b) four circular vegetable tureens and covers and one other cover. (3 tureens broken); (c) thirty-five dinner plates; (d) one soup bowl; (e) large oblong meat plate (broken); (f) small oblong meat plate (broken).
Provenance
Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
