Summary
A 46 piece English dessert service, decorated with small panels of foliage on an orange and gold background. Possibly Coalport, circa mid 19th Century, with pieces marked on the underside in red with the number ‘9177’. Comprised of: two three tier centrepieces or cake stands, four circular stand dishes, four rectangular shaped dishes, four oval shaped dishes, four dishes on low stands, and twenty eight plates.
Provenance
Possibly manufactured by Coalport circa mid 19th Century. Transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in lieu of CTT in 1985 with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
