Summary
Sabre with embossed silver mounts on the sheath. The sabre has an engraved silvered hilt and a yellow horn handle with metal mounts and a silver pommel on a cord threaded through it. the curved blade has a flat top edge until the lower third. The sheath is of wood with embossed (Indian?) silver mounts decorated with a tulip-style design issuing from a central stem. One side of the top mount is open to allow easy withdrawal of the sabre. Two rings are on engraved raised bands over the central shagreen section.
