Summary
A tape measure of coated cotton fabric printed in black in 4 inch increments ( ¼ ½ ¾ ), each segment is recorded in red ( 1, 2 , to 36). (Four inches equals one hand, thus indicating a use for measuring the height of horses). There is a brass buckle at the end and the measure is stored coiled. Printed on the tape is : RABONE CHESTERMAN.
