Green leather travelling vanity case.
Full description
Green leather, rectangular, travelling vanity case. Darkened almost to black on outside. Reinforced and stamped in gold on lid; A.A.L. Leather handle fixed to body by brass fittings. Either side of handle are brass locks with keyholes (no keys). Plate stamped; SECURE / LEVER. Brass catch on lid stamped; DREW & SONS / PICCADILLY CIRCUS / LONDON W. Top edge of case under lid flap is stamped in gold; DREW & SONS MAKERS / PICCADILLY CIRCUS. W. Inside case is lined in green silk with various silk or leather pockets. When opened lid is restrained by two lengths of strengthened silk strips. Lid is fitted with a large silk open pocket edged in leather, contents are secured by a similar strap and fixed by brass push button clasp. Worn strap is printed in gold lettering; THE ROYAL FAMILY / DREW & SONS. On base are six brass studs and six on side of case oppostie the handle.
