Summary
Letter from Fanny Stock to Sir George Smart dated 28 Juin 1835. Red sealing wax on reverse.
Full description
Sir George Smart. Dear Sir George I have looked at the Song and do not think it will be effective in my voice, but as there is not much time to be lost in objections I shall do my best. I shall take the Parts of the three Songs you mention, and bring also this Crucifixion Song, but depend upon the Copyist(?) bringing the parts of the Duet with Rubins(?). With best Compliments to you amiable Lady, believe me, dear Sir George, in bad English as well as in French Your Affectionate Fanny Stock on 28 Juin 1835. 4 St John’s Wood.
Provenance
Purchased from the estate of the late Lord Wraxall with the assistance of the NHMF and donations from members and supporters.
