Full description
Dear Lord F.C. Brother of 5th Duke of Argyll Queen Street Mayfair Friday June 23rd – 1819 My Dear Sir My Health and Spirits are much better than when I saw you last. I am looking out again for friends and those whose conversation I enjoy. You may easily imagine therefore that I cannot be long without inquiring after Mr & Mrs Edwards. Are you both visible at Harrow? Have you a spare bed for an old Gentleman who cannot now make long expeditions – He turned the corner of 80 two days ago. And is not without hopes of getting round one or two more with the kind assistance of friends. A word to the fiend [?] I am just going to Strawberry – return to Queen St. on Monday or Tuesday. A line or two from Mrs Edwards & you will add much to my Happyness. [sic] Yours my Dear Sir Most Faithfully Fredk Campbell X He died June 8. 1816
