Letter from Duke of Norfolk to Lady Northcote dated Oct. 25 1882. From Arundel Castle.

Full description

Dear Lady Northcote. I will make a note of what you say about Mr. Gibbs and of your wishes about him but I have already written to his Father to say how very small is the chance of any being able even to do what (Page 2 on back of first page) Mr Gibbs wishes and I can only say the same to you with true regret. I hope Sir Stafford is in good force to defend the liberties of England. Believe me Yours very Truly (sic), Norfolk.
