Letter from Princess Bonaparte collection in French. Cabinet du Directeur Général des Archives de l’Empire Paris ce 4 Juin Princesse, Je remercie Votre Altesse de son aimable invitation à déjeuner pour Mardi : j’aurai l’honneur de m’y rendre, heureux de faire connaissance avec le P.Hyacinthe, plus heureux encore de vous voir. Seulement devant me trouver aux Archives à 8 heures au plus tard, je vous demanderai la permission de vous quitter de bonne heure. Recevez, Chère Princesse, l’expression de mon profond attachement et du plus respectueux dévouement Votre très zélé et affectionné serviteur Alfred Maury Office of the Director General of the Archives of the Empire Paris 4th June. Translation; Princess I thank your Highness for her kind invitation to lunch on Tuesday; I will have the honour of attending, hoping to make the acquaintance of Father Hyacinthe in addition to seeing you. So as to attend my own archive by 8 o’clock at the latest, I request your permission to leave you early.
