Summary
Letter from W.S. Jevons to My Dear Sir dated 13 Dec 1875.
Full description
36 Parsonage Road Withington Manchester 13 Dec. 1875 My dear Sir Your criticisms on my logic left off on p.197, & I shall be happy to have more. Please not to trouble yourself with them however unless quite inclined to do it with pleasure to yourself. I am acquainted with Jennings Pol. Econ. Which contains in my opinion more valuable observations than have been acknowledged by subsequent writers. You will find that he is mentioned and quoted on pp. 18,65 &c of my Theory of Pol. Econ. I have not heard anything about a primer of Political Economy, but think that one is much wanted. I am not myself satisfied with Mrs Fawcetts book. Believe me Yours Faithfully W.S. Jevons. P.S. I hope to write something more in a little time about the Termissive(?) Bill. I have by no means given up my opinion. Of course probability can only be very rudely estimated in such matters but that the principles of the theory apply I cannot doubt.
Provenance
