Summary
One of a pair of painted pole screens with tapestry panel of a pheasant in a garden landscapes with plants and buldings. On turned and fluted column with tripod base of moulded and curved legs terminating in scroll feet and carved with gilt bead and reed ornament, formal leaves and fluting. Urn finial to plain pole. Tapestry probably from Fulham Manufactory. Similar set of three made by Chippendale for Dumfries House, Ayrshire. 1759.
