Summary
Set of eight Regency mahogany and gilt armchairs in the Gothic style. The top borders to the backs pierced with gilt quatrefoil medallions, the ferminations carved and gilded with foliage. On moulded X-shaped supports. The seats, seat cushions, panels to the backs and arms stuffed and covered in floral red damask. Probably designed by William Porden and made by Gillows of Lancaster, 1807-1810.
