A pair of carved and ebonized wall brackets, 19th century, each with a shaped semi-circle ledge supported by a carved putti mask with three raised roundels below, secured to the wall with decoratively shaped metal brackets.

Date and method of entry to the house unknown. The National Trust took over the management of Carlyle's House in 1936.
