Summary

Plated presentation tankard of taper cylindrical form with glass base and scrolled handle with lion thumb-piece. Engraved opposite the handle; EXETER COLLEGE / A. Gibbs / ATHLETIC SPORTS, 1863. Stamped on the underside rim; U JAMES DIXON (and) SONS 482 ROWELL, OXFORD.
