Summary
Rectangular black cast iron nut crackers with one foot at each corner away from handle and fish-tail shaped foot at handle end, which separates out into two feet. All feet have a hole for a fixing nail. The feet are part of a rectangular shaped base which tapers slightly towards the fish-tail end. Along the top surface of this base are four ridged concave hollows into which nuts are to be placed. A hinged top with a long tapering handle comes down onto this base and has four curved spaces which fit those of the base. The top part has a raised leaf pattern over it and the handle curves away towards the fish-tail.
