Summary
Large wash bowl from a bedroom set. Outer surface is smooth but inner surface has swirling ridge relief. On inside is blue pattern on white background. Two large and two smaller groups of wild flowers. On rim is a continuous pattern of pansy-like and other flower heads. Rim has undulating edge and two parts of relief pattern opposite each other. Some damage and crazing to glaze at bottom of bowl. On outside of bowl are two large and two small groups of wild flowers similar to designs inside although all have slight variations. There is a deep foot to base, printed in blue on the underside along with a decorative maker's mark; ENGLAND / J / G / (and) SONS. / ANGLESEY. Also stamped in relief with half-moon mark; J G / 11 / 12.
