Summary
Large water jug, oval-shaped with ridges running top to bottom on each corner. On each side is printed blue pattern on white background. Pattern shows classical ruins in a landscape with larger decorated ruin to left side - all enclosed by flower / foliage decoration. To one side is a blue scroll and acanthus leaf style handle. The foot of the jug is rectangular with relief scroll style design. Upper rim is ridged and has blue foliage pattern and gilt edge, worn in various places. On the base is printed in a blue decorative oval surround; PARMA. Also on a raised rectangle of ceramic is stamped in relief; Rd 809018. Handwritten in red; a / 9402 / N. There are also other indistinct marks.
