Summary

Black metal electric motor bolted to a rectangular chamfered stone plinth. Metal plate covers three terminals and at the rear of the motor is a heavy spindle for the belt drive. Metal disc attached to right-hand side of motor reads; BY RIVERS 60 VOLTS 62 AMPS / 0.5 BHP 142 RPM / THE CRYPTO ELECTRICAL CO LTD / WILLESDEN LONDON / ASSOCIATED WITH THE / LANCASHIRE DYNAMO AND MOTOR CO LTD / SIZE CF72W891 / DATE 1925 / MADE IN ENGLAND.
