Summary
Poem, handwritten in ink on folded plain paper. Three verses of four lines each, addressed to, Sir George of Tyntesfield on the occasion of his marriage. Written by parishioner, Susannah Hope of West Hill, Wraxall. Verse with original spelling reads, God bless Sir George of Tyntesfield / And his illustrious bride / In whose most worthy union / We feel a joyous pride. / And as they are united / We wish them every glee / May good Sir George and Lady / Have true felicity. / So when the journey's ended / And earthly pleasures past / May both be found with Jesus / In welcome home at last. / the sincere wish of an old parishioner / Susannah Hope / West Hill / Wraxall.
