Pencil drawings of characters copied from story letters sent by Beatrix Potter to children. There are 11 pictures drawn on a folded sheet of paper, as follows. Letter to Noel Moore from 2 Bolton Gardens, 6 April 1896 - mother bird crying over baby bird that has fallen onto the doorstep; sick elephant seated in an armchair with three small human figures bringing pills and medicine. Letter to Noel Moore from Lingholm, Keswick, 26 August 1897 - minnows in a trap; four squirrels on rafts, sailing in a line; a cat, dripping wet. Letter to Noel Moore from Eversfield Hotel, St Leonards on Sea, 23 December 1898 - rowing boat rowed by 3 fish with oars. Source unidentified - a platter of oval objects, possibly eggs; two human hands feeding? fish?; group of three ducks' heads, wearing hats, and a pecking fowl; group of six creatures running.
