Summary
Envelope for a letter from Beatrix Potter to Joseph Moscrop, shepherd to Beatrix Potter at Troutbeck Park Farm from 1926. Dated April 1943. Part of a collection of letters, Beatrix Potter's Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop, edited and transcribed by Judy Taylor and published (1988) as 'Beatrix Potter's Farming Friendship, Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop 1926-1943'. The envelope is addressed to Mr J. Moscrop Redgatehead cottage, Bailey ,Newcastleton N.B. The address label has been stuck over another address. On the bottom right hand corner of the address label it says "It all depending on me" The label has been stuck over 5 green stamps. It is Dated April 43.There is a blue postage stamp .On the front and back there are instructions for how to open the envelope.
