Summary
Small envelope for a letter from Beatrix Potter to Joseph Moscrop, shepherd to Beatrix Potter at Troutbeck Park Farm from 1926. Dated 24 June 1941. Part of a collection of letters, Beatrix Potter's Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop, edited and transcribed by Judy Taylor and published (1988) as 'Beatrix Potter's Farming Friendship, Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop 1926-1943'. The envelope is dated 24 June 41 and addressed to Mr Joeseph Moscrop, Saughtrees, Bailey, Newcastleton ,Roxburghshire. It also has Beatrix's address crossed out. The envelope flap is missing and there is a blue postage stamp overlaying a red one.
