Summary
Envelope from a letter from Beatrix Potter to Joseph Moscrop, shepherd to Beatrix Potter at Troutbeck Park Farm from 1926. Dated 31 January 1936. Written on the envelope is 'Jan 31. 36 Mr J. Moscrop, Graham's Busett, Newcastleton, N.B.' . There are tears and folds round all edges. It has a red postage stamp and has been stamped 'Ambleside, Westmorland, 31 Jan 36'. Part of a collection of letters, Beatrix Potter's Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop, edited and transcribed by Judy Taylor and published (1988) as 'Beatrix Potter's Farming Friendship, Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop 1926-1943'.
