Dated 23 January 1932, the letter concerns the fee for Joseph's employment; taking on another servant, Walter Stevens, as a driver; calving and cows at Troutbeck Park; the weather; William Heelis' and Beatrix's health; her mother's health. Part of a collection of letters, Beatrix Potter's Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop, edited and transcribed by Judy Taylor and published (1988) as 'Beatrix Potter's Farming Friendship, Lake District Letters to Joseph Moscrop 1926-1943'.
