Summary
First edition copy of The Fairy Caravan, printed in Ambleside and published in London 1929 in order to secure the British copyright. This copy was annotated by Beatrix Potter with notes about her animals who appear as characters in the book (see below for inscriptions). This copy was given by Beatrix Potter to Annie Nelson in 1936.Beatrix Potter has inscribed the reverse of the title page, 'In remembrance of 'Dolly', my dogs, and the sheep.' See also HIL.R.254, a newspaper cutting which was acquired at the same time.
