Summary
Copy made by Beatrix of parts of three separate story letters written to the Moore children. The copies are made on three separate sheets of paper which are each written on one side only and are folded in half. Sheet 1 (pages 1 and 2) is copied from a letter to Winifrede (Frida) Moore originally dated 3 November 1897. It concerns guinea hens being alarmed by a fox; and a fox that went to sleep in a pig sty. Sheet 2 (pages 3 and 4) is copied from a letter to Marjory Moore originally dated 26 January 1900. It concerns influenza at the Potter household. Sheet 3 (pages 5 and 6) contains copied extracts from what seem to be 3 different letters. There is a section copied from a letter to Noel Moore of 4 March 1897 about the Owl and the Pussy Cat, with a picture of the Owl and Pussy Cat in a boat (the Cat is fishing). There is a section of text about a dog asleep in the sun, accompanied by a picture - 'I saw a nice dog outside a shop in Putney. It was lying asleep in the sun, and a grey cat was lying with its head on the dog's shoulder.' And there are two pictures, one of a girl with a doll's pram, and one of three dolls.
