Summary
Manuscript of Carrier's Bob, written in ink on 6 sheets of lined paper. One sheet is a small slip of paper with a pencil note by Beatrix Potter, 'The dog was a portrait of old Isaac Brockbank's terrier, the ferryman. It was his inseparable companion. After his death it used to go down to the Ferry - and wait for the Boat - and go home, looking forlorn.'
