Summary
Manuscript of The Tale of the Faithful Dove, a blue 'Giant' exercise book. The title 'The Faithful Dove' is written in ink on the front cover (centre). The title page is inscribed by Beatrix Potter, 'Hastings Feb 14.07', and inside the front cover she has written, 'This story is true but it happened in another seaside town, I think Folkestone. I used Winchelsea & Rye as backgrounds. This story was written for the Warne children. I do not know what became of the original copy - it has not been printed.'
