Summary
Manuscript of The Tale of Pigling Bland, an exercise book with no cover, and with loose pages. The text is written in ink, with occasional pencil corrections, in short sections on each page. The pages are numbered in pencil (bottom centre). Eleven pencil illustrations, drawn on separate sheets of plain paper, were slipped between the pages; these have now been stored separately for safety, their positions as found in the manuscript were as follows - HIL.R.17.2.1 page 7; HIL.R.17.2.2 page 19; HIL.R.17.2.3 page 20-21; HIL.R.17.2.4 page 20-21; HIL.R.17.2.5 page 26; HIL.R.17.2.6 page 33; HIL.R.17.2.7 page 40; HIL.R.17.2.8 page 47; HIL.R.17.2.9 page 51; HIL.R.17.2.10 and HIL.R.17.2.11 loose.
