Summary
Driving mechanism for a lighthouse optic, consisting of a train of wheels and pinions, with a dog clutch for disconnection, terminating in a centrifugal governor. Used at Longstone Lighthouse, Farne Islands. Letters, dated 20.5.1992 and 26.6.1992, from H.L.Cooper of Trinity House London give the impression that this optic clock was actually used at Souter (until 1977?). See also SLH.TE.6.
