The other two ladies are standing behind the seated figure and child. The seated lady is wearing an ankle length dress and a shawl. She is also wearing a bonnet and holding a book. The lady to the right of the seated figure is wearing an apron. The lady behind the child is dressed in a white blouse. The child is wearing a white dress and sandals. The photograph is mounted in a natural oak frame with silvered slip.
