Summary
Ship’s clock with radio silence indications mounted together on mahogany board. Circa 1990. The clock, which is designed for use in the ship’s radio room, has a battery powered quartz movement with a white dial having sectors showing times required for radio silence and segments for testing of the auto emergency radio transmitter. The dial is signed: “JOHN LILLIE & GILLIE LTD / NORTH SHIELDS” and has black poker hands with a counterpoised centre seconds hand (currently missing). The case is of the typical brass bulkhead type, but nickel plated.
