Summary
Eight day, timepiece drop dial wall clock by HAC (The Hamburg American Clock Company), Schramberg, Germany, circa 1900. Single train, 4-pillar going-barrel movement with anchor escapement. 8” diameter white painted dial with roman numerals and plain dial centre marked with crossed arrows – the most familiar of the trade marks of the HAC Company – below XII. Blued steel spade and poker hands. Mahogany case with glazed trunk below showing pendulum bob. Flat glass over the dial, enclosed in a pressed brass bezel. Note, the hand collet is a part of a French clock maltese-cross stopwork, repurposed.
