Folding, linen backed lithographed map of Mesopotamia, apparently cut into sections before fixing on to linen. Strengthened front and back cover has blue, maroon and cream marbling. Decorative cream label on right hand opening side reads, MAP OF / LOWER / MESOPOTAMIA. Information along the lower border reads, SIFTON, PRAED AND CO LTD / The Map House / 67, St James's Street. LONDON. S.W. Text in the top right hand corner reads, 4/6 / LOWER MESOPOTAMIA / BETWEEN BAGHDAD AND THE PERSIAN GULF. Information along the bottom of the map incorporating scales reads, Lt Geographical Section, General Staff, No 2563. / Lithographed at War Office Nov 1907. / Additions and corrections August 1916/2/6 / REFERENCES, SOURCES OF ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
