Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory in gold pendant, George Henry Gibbs (1785-1842) by James Leakey (Exeter 1775-Exeter 1865). Gold framed ivory miniature attributed to James Leakey of George Gibbs, in a black coat and white stock. On the reverse a handwritten label inside the glass reads: George Gibbs / 18 / James Leakey. Sotheby's description: Framed oval ivory miniature attributed to James Leakey ( 1775-1865 ). George Henry Gibbs 1785-1842. Head and shoulders wearing a dark coat and white cravat. Literature - J.A.
