Gold framed oval ivory miniature attributed to H. Cosway after a portrait in the Metropolitan Museum, New York by Sir Thomas Lawrence, P.R.A. of Elizabeth Farren, the actress, in a fur trimmed white cloak. On the reverse hand writing reads: 1195 / V T 1/2 / Miss Farron (sic). ( Sotheby's description ). English school, 19th Century. Portrait miniature of Miss Farren, Countess of Derby after Lawrence. Bears signature c.r.; / R (sic) Cosway.
